EMPLOYEE COMPENSATION AND RELATED BENEFITS1

2.64.010 Classified service.
Those employees of the city in the classified service, as defined in Article IV, Section 3 of the City Charter, shall be subject and entitled to such personnel rules and personnel policy benefits as the city council shall establish, by ordinance or resolution, upon recommendation of the city manager. The city manager shall make an annual report to the city council in which he shall review and recommend revisions in the personnel rules and personnel policy benefits. (Ord. 777 § 1, 1973)
2.64.020 Unclassified service.
Those employees in the unclassified service, as defined in Article IV, Section 3 of the City Charter, shall be subject to the direct supervision and control of and responsible to the city council, which shall review the terms of service, fringe benefits, and compensation of such employees on an annual basis. 2.64.030 Compensation to temporary employees.
The city manager is authorized to establish salaries for temporary positions and employees. (Ord. 777 § 1, 1973)
2.64.040 Expense allowance for volunteer firemen.
Members of the volunteer fire department shall be paid an expense allowance for volunteer fire, ambulance, and other emergency work as provided by the council by resolution from time to time. (Ord. 777 § 1, 1973)
