9.48.010 Going upon private property deemed nuisance.

Going in and upon private residences and property in the city by solicitors, peddlers, hawkers, itinerant merchants, and transient vendors of merchandise, not having been specially invited and requested so to do by the owners or occupants thereof, for the purpose of soliciting orders for the sale of goods, wares, merchandise, or magazines, or for the purpose of disposing of, peddling, or hawking the same, is declared to be a common and public nuisance. (Code 1962 § 5-12)

9.48.020 Abatement.

The police department of the city is required and directed to suppress and abate any and all such common and public nuisances as are herein defined. (Code 1962 § 5-13)
