15.30.010 Official streets and highways plan map

15.30.010 OFFICIAL STREETS AND HIGHWAYS PLAN MAP.

(A) The official streets and highways plan map is the official map of the borough which shows the location of present and future road construction projects throughout the borough.

(B) The official streets and highways plan map may be amended.

(C) A subsequent amendment to the official streets and highways plan map shall supersede all prior maps and map amendments of the official streets and highways plan. (Ord. 94-071 (sub1), § 4 (part), 1994)

15.30.020 MAPS FILED.

The official streets and highways plan map shall remain on file in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough Planning and Land Use Department office and shall be identified by the signature of the mayor, and attested by the clerk under the following words:

“This is to certify that this is the official streets and highways plan map adopted by ordinance.”

15.30.030 STATUS OF MAP.

Regardless of the existence of copies of the official streets and highways plan map, which may be made or published, the latest official streets and highways plan map shall be the final authority as to the current streets and highways plan map in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough. 15.30.040 MAP REPLACEMENT.

(A) In case the map becomes damaged, destroyed, lost or difficult to interpret by reason of the nature or number of changes and additions, the assembly may, by ordinance, adopt a new streets and highways plan map, which shall supersede the prior streets and highways plan map. The new streets and highways plan map may correct drafting and other errors or omissions in the prior streets and highways plan map.

(B) The new streets and highways plan map shall be identified by the signature of the mayor, attested by the clerk, and bear the seal of the borough under the following words:

“This is to certify that this streets and highways plan map supersedes and replaces the streets and highways plan map adopted (date of adoption of map being replaced) as part of Ordinance No._____ of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.”

(C) Unless the prior official streets and highways plan map has been lost, or has been totally destroyed, the prior map, or any significant parts remaining, shall be preserved with all available records pertaining to its adoption or amendment. (Ord. 94-071 (sub1), § 4 (part), 1994)

15.30.050 RECORD OF MAP CHANGES.

All ordinances amending the official streets and highways plan map shall be numbered consecutively. All amendments shall be filed with and indexed in the clerk’s office, and shall be noted on the official streets and highways plan map. (Ord. 94-071 (sub1), § 4 (part), 1994)
