17.35.010 Intent.

The VCT district is intended to be applied to the Valdez Container Terminal. Uses within the VCT district are intended to be shipping, receiving, staging of waterborne freight, and related accessory uses. (Ord. 03-15 § 15 (part): Ord. 96-36 § 1 (part))

17.35.020 Permitted principal uses and structures.

In the VCT zone, the following uses and structures are permitted outright:

A.    Freight staging and handling areas;

B.    Ferry terminals and cruise ship landing;

C.    Fuel piers;

D.    Port and harbor facilities;

E.    Waterborne vessels terminals. (Ord. 03-15 § 15 (part): Ord. 96-36 § 1 (part))

17.35.030 Permitted accessory uses and structures.

The following uses and structures, which are incidental to the permitted principal uses and structures listed in Section 17.35.020, are permitted:

A.    Accessory buildings;

B.    Parking in conjunction with permitted uses;

C.    Temporary accessory uses necessary in servicing cruise ships, including temporary retail;

D.    Small wind energy systems in conformance with Section 17.48.150. (Ord. 08-11 § 13: Ord. 03-15 § 15 (part): Ord. 96-36 § 1 (part))

17.35.040 Conditional uses.

17.35.050 Prohibited uses and structures.

Any uses or structures not of a character indicated under permitted principal uses and structures or permitted as a conditional use are prohibited. (Ord. 03-15 § 15 (part): Ord. 96-36 § 1 (part))

17.35.060 Minimum lot requirements.

A.    Lot width: none.

17.35.070 Minimum setback requirements.

17.35.080 Maximum lot coverage by all buildings and structures.

17.35.090 Maximum height of buildings and structures.

17.35.100 Required off-street parking and loading.

Adequate off-street parking and loading spaces shall be provided in connection with any permitted use in accordance with the requirements set forth in Sections 17.48.100 and 17.48.110. (Ord. 03-15 § 15 (part): Ord. 96-36 § 1 (part))

17.35.110 Signs.

Signs may be allowed in conjunction with any permitted use subject to the provisions of Section 17.48.090, with the location approved by the port director. (Ord. 03-15 § 15 (part): Ord. 96-36 § 1 (part))
