2.26.010 Department of Administration.

There is created a Department of Administration, the head of which shall be the City Manager. [Ord. 562-10 § 2, 2010; Ord. 535-08 § 6, 2008].

2.26.020 Assistant City Manager.

2.26.030 Duties of the Assistant City Manager.

2.26.040 City Clerk.

The City Clerk shall be appointed by the City Manager and shall hold office at the discretion of the City Manager.

In case of the temporary absence of the City Clerk, the City Manager may designate an acting City Clerk, with all the powers and obligations of the City Clerk. The acting City Clerk shall sign all documents in the name of the City Clerk, subscribing their personal signature as acting City Clerk. [Ord. 535-08 § 6, 2008].

2.26.050 Duties of the City Clerk.

Under the supervision of the City Manager, the City Clerk shall have the duties specified in AS 29.20.380(a), and such other duties as may be specified in the City Clerk job description. [Ord. 05-2016 § 3, 2016; Ord. 535-08 § 6, 2008].

2.26.060 Finance Officer.

2.26.070 Duties of the Finance Officer.

2.26.080 Executive Assistant.

The Executive Assistant shall be appointed by the City Manager and shall hold office at the discretion of the City Manager. The Executive Assistant shall be an administrative and clerical position that is exempt from confirmation by the City Council. [Ord. 564-10 § 2, 2010].

2.26.090 Duties of the Executive Assistant.

Under the supervision of the City Manager, the Executive Assistant shall be assigned the following duties:

A. Be the immediate City representative to the public for tax related matters to include:

1. Real property tax;

2. Personal property tax;

3. Sales tax;

4. Passenger transportation business tax.

B. Be the immediate administrative representative to City employees for matters relating to:

1. Personnel files;

2. Insurance concerns;

3. Administrative issues.

C. Perform other such duties as may be specified in this code or by the City Manager. [Ord. 564-10 § 3, 2010].
