2-8-1 DEPARTMENT CREATED:

(A) There is hereby created a Budget and Finance Department to be under the supervision of the Budget and Finance Director who will report to and be responsible for the operation of the Department to the City Manager. The Department shall have such divisions as shall be established from time to time by the City Manager.

(B) That whenever reference is made to the Finance Director in this City Code or elsewhere, that reference shall mean the Budget and Finance Director. (Ord. 2229, 10-90; amd. Ord. 3186 eff. 5-12-94)

2-8-2 DUTIES:

(A) The Budget and Finance Director is the City’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) responsible for the City’s financial affairs.

(B) The Budget and Finance Department shall be responsible for overall financial management of the City, including budget preparation, budget management, accounting, sales tax, utility billing, project accounting, grants accounting, treasury, payroll, and such other duties as may be determined by the City Manager.
