PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING

9.74.010 Entitlement to state aid.

The county declares that it desires to qualify to receive aid from the state under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Title 4 of Part 4 of the California Penal Code (Sections 13522, et seq.). In order to so qualify, it is necessary that the county sheriff's department agree to adhere to the recruitment and training standards established by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (hereinafter in this chapter referred to as "POST").  (Ord. 1238 §1(part), 1990).

9.74.020 Agreement to adhere to POST standards.

Pursuant to Penal Code Section 13510(c), the county sheriff's department shall adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established and existing from time to time by POST.  (Ord. 1238 §1(part), 1990).

9.74.030 POST right of inspection.

Pursuant to Penal Code Section 13512, POST and its representatives may make inquiries as it deems appropriate from time to time to ascertain that the county sheriff's department public safety dispatcher personnel adhere to the above-referenced standards for selection and training as established by POST.  (Ord. 1238 §1(part), 1990).
