5.36.010 Painting house numbers on curbs – Restrictions.

No person shall place, or cause to be placed or painted, upon any public curb any house number unless a permit to do so has been first obtained from the city manager and unless the consent of the owner or the occupant of the property immediately adjacent thereto has been first obtained. House numbers so placed on the curb must be in black paint, in figures three inches in height and impressed upon a white background measuring five by 11 inches. (Ord. 316 § 12, 1973; prior code § 6507.1(a)).

5.36.020 Identification card required.

Every person painting or placing numbers on curbs as allowed in this chapter must have in his possession, at all times while engaged in said activity, a valid, unrevoked, identification card, issued by the city manager stating his name and address, the name and address of the permittee or licensee, and the date of expiration of said license. (Ord. 316 § 12, 1973; prior code § 6507.1(b)).
