15.75.010 Findings – Purpose.

The city council finds it necessary that the city adopt regulations and standard specifications for public improvements in the city. The purpose of these regulations and specifications is to provide certain minimum standards for the design, methods of construction, and use of materials for streets, alleys, concrete structures, storm drain facilities, sanitary sewage facilities, water distribution systems and other public improvements hereafter constructed, altered, or repaired within the city; and to provide minimum standards for surveys, preparation of maps, preparation of improvement plans, and monumenting in connection with the aforesaid improvements of the city. 15.75.020 Adoption.

The city engineer shall recommend to the city council regulations and standard specifications for public improvements in the city. The city council, by resolution, may adopt the regulations and specifications in whole or in part with any additions or amendments deemed necessary. These regulations and specifications shall be known as “The City of Benicia Regulations and Standard Specifications for Public Improvements.” (Ord. 22-12 § 1).

15.75.030 Revision.

The city council, by resolution, may from time to time revise the “City of Benicia Regulations and Standard Specifications for Public Improvements” as the need for such revision arises. The city engineer shall recommend to the city council any changes to the regulations and specifications whenever they deem such changes advisable and an improvement over existing regulations and specifications. (Ord. 22-12 § 1).

15.75.040 Copies on file.

At least one copy of the “City of Benicia Regulations and Standard Specifications” shall be on file at the office of the city clerk and at the office of the city engineer. These copies shall be available in said offices for examination by the public upon request. (Ord. 22-12 § 1).
