ADOPTION OF THE 1996 EDITION OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT PERMANENT FOUNDATIONS GUIDE FOR MANUFACTURED HOUSING (4930.3G)

15.37.010 Adoption of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Permanent Foundations Guide for Manufactured Housing (4930.3G) 1996 Edition.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Permanent Foundations Guide for Manufactured Housing (4930.3G) 1996 Edition is hereby adopted by reference for when a manufactured home is installed on private property. A fully executed HCD form 433A is required prior to certificate of occupancy being granted. A copy of the foundation guide as adopted is available in the office of the building official and is available for public inspection. [Ord. 415 § 1, 2025.]

15.37.020 Amendments.

Section 503-1. of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Permanent Foundations Guide for Manufactured Housing (4930.3G) 1996 Edition is hereby amended to read as follows:

FOUNDATION REQUIREMENTS. Section 503-1. All exterior walls, marriage walls, marriage wall posts, columns and piers, must be supported on an acceptable foundation system that must be of sufficient design to support safely the loads imposed, as determined from the character of the soil. All exterior perimeter wall foundations shall have a poured in place reenforced concrete footing and the manufactured home shall be anchored to the perimeter foundation wall at points no greater than 48” apart or as designed by a licensed California Engineer.
