17.116.010 Purpose.

This chapter identifies the process to obtain an administrative permit. An administrative permit is required for uses permitted by right yet subject to specific zoning code standards. An administrative permit is a ministerial procedure for the city to verify that a proposed use complies with all applicable standards and to ensure that the applicant understands and accepts these standards. 17.116.020 When required.

Uses that require an administrative permit are specified in the land use regulation tables for each zoning district found in Part 2 of this title (Zoning Districts and Overlay Zones). (Ord. 1043 § 2 (Att. 2), 2020)

17.116.030 Review authority.

The community development director takes action on all administrative permit applications. (Ord. 1043 § 2 (Att. 2), 2020)

17.116.040 Application submittal, review, and action.

A. An application for an administrative permit shall be filed and reviewed in compliance with Chapter 17.112 (Permit Application and Review).

B. Community development department staff shall review the application to verify compliance with the zoning code. If the project complies with the zoning code, the community development director shall approve the application. (Ord. 1043 § 2 (Att. 2), 2020)

17.116.050 Public notice and hearing.

No public notice or hearing is required for an administrative permit. (Ord. 1043 § 2 (Att. 2), 2020)

17.116.060 Conditions of approval.

No conditions of approval may be attached to the approval of an administrative permit. (Ord. 1043 § 2 (Att. 2), 2020)

17.116.070 Appeals and post-decision procedures.

A. Community development director decisions on administrative permits may be appealed to the planning commission as described in Chapter 17.152 (Appeals).

B. Post-decision procedures and requirements in Chapter 17.156 (Post-Decision Procedures) shall apply to administrative permits. (Ord. 1043 § 2 (Att. 2), 2020)
