3400 General Hazards Ordinance Adopted.

The General Hazards Ordinance, being Ordinance No. 9415 of the County of Los Angeles, as amended and in effect on August 1, 1968, is hereby adopted as the General Hazards Ordinance of the City of Carson.

Three (3) copies of said Ordinance No. 9415 of the County of Los Angeles, California, as amended, have been deposited with the office of the City Clerk of the City of Carson and shall be at all times maintained by said clerk for use and examination by the public. (Ord. 43, § 3400).

3401 Amendment to General Hazards Ordinance.

Notwithstanding the provisions of CMC 3400, Section 403 of General Hazards Ordinance is hereby amended to read:

Exceptions. This article does not apply to:

(a) Wells, cesspools, cisterns, septic tanks, or seepage pits under construction when constantly and immediately attended by workmen or other adult persons.

(b) Wells, pits, or shafts less than three (3) feet in depth or with an opening not exceeding six (6) inches in diameter.

(c) Abandoned excavations covered by Sections 24400, 24401 or 24402 of the Health and Safety Code.

(d) Openings, ditches, trenches, or other excavation in any public street, way or place in the City of Carson which shall be governed by CMC 7102.
