2.28.010 Creation.

A city planning commission is created. (1964 Code § 2.112.)

2.28.020 Composition.

The city planning commission shall consist of five members. (1964 Code § 2.113.)

2.28.030 Members – Appointment.

The members of the city planning commission shall be appointed by the city council. (Ord. 1286 § 1, 1974; 1964 Code § 2.114.)

2.28.040 Vacancies.

If a vacancy occurs in the city planning commission otherwise than by expiration of term, it shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired portion of the term. (1964 Code § 2.115.)

2.28.050 Members – Removal.

Any appointee member of the city planning commission may be removed by the mayor at his pleasure subject to the approval of the city council, or by a majority vote of the city council. (1964 Code § 2.116.)

2.28.060 Chairman and officials – Election.

The city planning commission shall elect a chairman from among its appointed members for a term of one year, and subject to other provisions of law may create and fill such other offices as it may determine. (1964 Code § 2.117.)

2.28.070 Meetings.

The city planning commission shall hold at least one regular meeting in each month. (1964 Code § 2.118.)

2.28.080 Records.

The city planning commission shall adopt rules for the transaction of business, and shall keep a record of its resolutions, transactions, findings and determinations, which record shall be a public record. (1964 Code § 2.119.)

2.28.100 Funds – Expenditures.

The city council shall provide the funds, equipment and accommodations necessary for the work of the planning commission of the city. The planning commission shall not create indebtedness in any one year in excess of the amount of funds provided or budgeted by the city council. (1964 Code § 2.121.)

2.28.110 Powers and duties.

The city planning commission shall perform the duties and have the power and authority which may, from time to time, be delegated to the planning commission by the city council and by the Government Code of the state, Section 65000 et seq. (1964 Code § 2.122.)
