9.20.010 Gambling place – Keeping prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person to keep, conduct or maintain within the city any house, room, apartment or place used in whole or in part as a gambling house or place where any game not mentioned in Section 330 of the Penal Code of the state is played, conducted, dealt or carried on with cards, dice or other device for money, checks, chips, credit or any other representative of value. (1964 Code § 17.6.)

9.20.020 Gambling place – Permitting operation prohibited.

It is unlawful for any person knowingly to permit any house, room, apartment or place owned by him or under his charge or control, in the city, to be used in whole or in part as a gambling house or place for playing, conducting, dealing or carrying on any game not mentioned in Section 330 of the Penal Code of the state with cards, dice or other device for money, checks, chips, credit or any other representation of value. (1964 Code § 17.7.)

9.20.030 Playing or betting at or against games.

It is unlawful for any person to play or bet at or against any game not mentioned in Section 330 of the Penal Code of the state which is played, conducted, dealt or carried on with cards, dice or other device for money, checks, chips, credit or any other representative of value in any house, room, apartment or place described in CMC 9.20.010, in the city. (1964 Code § 17.8.)
