2.10.010 Office established—Duties.
Pursuant to Government Code Section 40805.5, the office of Director of Finance is established. The Director of Finance shall perform the duties described in Government Code Sections 40802, 40804, 40805, 36522 and Chapter 4 of Division 3 of Title 4 of the Government Code, commencing with Section 37200, and such other duties as may be provided in the class specifications for the Director of Finance as may be adopted by the Council from time to time. 2.10.020 Appointment—Exemption from competitive service.
The Director of Finance shall be appointed by the City Manager, pursuant to Section 2.04.090, and shall be exempt from the competitive service in accordance with Section 2.20.040. (Ord. 2-90 § 2)
2.10.030 Bond.
The Director of Finance shall execute the bond required of the City Clerk by California Government Code Section 36518. (Ord. 2- 90 § 3)
