GENERAL FEES

1.100.010 Escrow fees.

Pursuant to California Public Contract Code Section 22300, at the request and expense of the contractor moneys withheld by the District to ensure performance under a contract shall be deposited with a state or federally chartered bank in this state as the escrow agent. The fees corresponding to the services performed by the District on behalf of the contractor for the establishment and maintenance of these escrow accounts shall be in the amounts established by separate ordinance or resolution duly adopted from time to time by the Board of Directors. 1.100.020 Subsurface facility locating fees.

Pursuant to California Government Code Sections 4216 through 4216.9, an excavator making an inquiry with the appropriate regional notification center in response to which the District is required to locate and mark the location of its subsurface facilities shall be required to pay a fee in an amount determined by District staff to be sufficient to cover the cost of providing that service if, after the District provides that service, the excavator does not actually excavate in the area prior to the expiration of the inquiry identification number. 1.100.030 Other fees and charges as established or authorized by the Board.

Notwithstanding any provision of this code to the contrary, the District may authorize or require payment of fees or charges in the amounts established by District staff as generally authorized by the Board of Directors, or by separate ordinance or resolution duly adopted from time to time by the Board of Directors, in either case in amounts deemed necessary or appropriate to reimburse the District for costs of services performed or to be performed by the District.
