POLICE DEPARTMENT

2.18.010 Established.
A police department is established. (Ord. 487 § 2 (part), 1982)
2.18.020 Officers.
The officers of the police department shall consist of the chief of police and such other subordinate officers as the city council deems necessary to carry out the duties of the department. The chief of police shall be appointed by the city manager and shall serve at his pleasure. The city manager shall appoint, discipline and dismiss the subordinate officers and employees of the police department. (Ord. 487 § 2 (part), 1982)
