CALIFORNIA PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM

2.33.010 Public employees retirement system.
The city shall participate in, and its employees shall be members of, the California Public Employees’ Retirement System pursuant to contract entered into between the city and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System. (Ord. 452 § 2 (part), 1981)
2.33.020 Contract.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 359, passed and adopted November 21, 1977, a contract was entered into by which all employees of the city were made members of said system, effective December 25, 1977. (Ord. 452 § 2 (part), 1981)
2.33.030 Amendment to contract.
Pursuant to Ordinance No. 444, passed and adopted August 4, 1981, an amendment to the contract was authorized:
1. To provide service credit for years covered under our former private retirement plan (applied to miscellaneous members only);
2. To provide age fifty voluntary retirement for local safety members. (Ord. 452 § 2 (part), 1981)
2.33.040 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide three percent at fifty (3% @ 50) Modified formula and Section 20024.2 (One-Year Final Compensation) for public safety members.

2.33.050 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System, is further amended:
To exclude from membership by said retirement law resident firefighters hired on and after the effective date of this amendment to contract.

2.33.060 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System, is further amended:
To reclassify emergency medical technician from local miscellaneous to local safety member status effective date of this amendment to contract.

2.33.070 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System, is further amended:
To provide Section 21354.5, 2.7 percent at fifty-five (2.7% @ 55 Full and Modified formula), and Section 20042 (One-Year Final Compensation) for local miscellaneous members.

2.33.080 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the board of administration of the public employees’ retirement system is further amended:
To provide Section 21024 (Military Service Credit as Public Service) for local miscellaneous members and local safety members.

2.33.090 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 21548 (Pre-Retirement Optional Settlement 2 Death Benefit) for local fire members only.

2.33.100 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 21548 (Pre-Retirement Optional Settlement 2W Death Benefit) for local miscellaneous and local police members.

2.33.110 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 20903 ‘Two Years’ Additional Service Credit’ for miscellaneous and safety personnel as authorized by the City Council.

2.33.120 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 21547.7 (Alternate Death Benefit for Local Fire Members Credited with 20 or More Years of Service).

2.33.130 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby added:
To provide Section 20475 (Different Level of Benefits), Section 21363 (2% @ 50 Modified formula) and Section 20037 (Three-Year Final Compensation) are applicable to local police members entering membership for the first time in the police classification after the effective date of this amendment to contract.

2.33.140 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby added:
To provide Section 20475 (Different Level of Benefits), Section 21354 (2% @ 55 Modified formula) and Section 20037 (Three-Year Final Compensation) are applicable to local miscellaneous members entering membership for the first time in a miscellaneous classification after the effective date of this amendment to contract.

2.33.150 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby added:
To provide Section 20475 (Different Level of Benefits), Section 21362 (2% @ 50 Modified formula) and Section 20037 (Three-Year Final Compensation) are applicable to local fire members entering membership for the first time in the fire classification after the effective date of this amendment to contract.

2.33.160 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 20965 (Credit for Unused Sick l Leave) for local miscellaneous members only.

2.33.170 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 20965 (Credit for Unused Sick Leave) for local safety members only.

2.33.180 Further amendment.
The contract between the city council of the city of Folsom and the Board of Administration, California Public Employees’ Retirement System is hereby amended:
To provide Section 20503 (Removal of the Contract Exclusion of “Resident Fire Fighters Hired on or After May 20, 1986, Whose Tenure Does Not Exceed 36 Months,” Prospectively Only).
