STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION

13.40.010 Adoption of Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction.

A. The rules, regulations, provisions, and conditions set forth in the publication entitled “Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, 2018 Edition,” (Green Book) including any supplements and amendments thereto, are hereby adopted as the standard specifications regulating materials of construction and their use in the erection, installation, alteration, repair, removal, conversion, demolition, and construction of public works improvements in the city, providing for the administration of contracts as well as permits issued in connection with such improvements.

B. The provisions contained in the Green Book may be superseded by specific provisions in a public works contract. 13.40.020 Adoption of Standard Plans for Sanitary Sewers.

The rules, regulations, provisions, and conditions set forth in that certain publication entitled “Standard Plans for Sanitary Sewers,” dated March, 1981, as adopted and amended from the Standard Plans of the Department of County Engineer – Facilities, County of Los Angeles, three full printed copies of which, printed as special specifications in booklet form, were ordered filed and which have been actually filed in the office of the city clerk, and which as so on file are referred to and by this reference expressly incorporated in this chapter and made a part of this chapter as fully and for all intents and purposes as though set forth in this chapter at length, shall be and the same are established and adopted as the standard plans for the construction of sanitary sewers in the city, and the same are established and adopted as supplements, modifications or deletions to the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction adopted by Section 13.40.010 of this chapter, and the same shall be designated, known and referred to as the “standard plans for sanitary sewers” in and for the city.
