2.04.010 Meetings--Time.

The city council shall meet in regular session the first and third Tuesdays of every month at the hour of seven p.m. and may adjourn from time to time as in their judgment may seem fit and proper. As part of the regular meeting, a closed session may precede the regularly scheduled commencement at a time specified on the agenda. (Ord. 2.04.020 Meetings--Place.

The city council shall hold all of its regular meetings at the Coastside Community Center, located at 535 Kelly Avenue, Half Moon Bay, California, except those meetings for which the city council duly announces a different location. (Ord. 2-86 §2(b), 1986).

2.04.030 Compensation amount.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 36516, each councilmember shall receive a salary of nine hundred fifty-five dollars and fifty cents per month on or about the last day of the month for which the services were performed. 2.04.040 Compensation--For member filling vacancy.

The compensation of a city councilmember appointed or elected to fill a vacancy shall be the same as that payable to the member whose office was vacated. (Ord. C-2015-07 §1(part), 2015; Ord. 3-73 §2, 1973).

2.04.050 Vacancies.

In accordance with California Government Code Section 36512(b), if a vacancy on the city council occurs, the council shall, within sixty days from the commencement of the vacancy, either fill the vacancy by appointment or call a special election to fill the vacancy. The special election shall be held on the next regularly established election date not less than one hundred fourteen days from the call of the special election. A person appointed or elected to fill a vacancy holds office for the unexpired term of the former incumbent. (Ord. C-2014-04 §2, 2014: Ord. 3-06 §1, 2006).
