9-34.030 Evaluation of projects.

The City Council has adopted a master plan of parks and recreation for the city. The plan assesses the recreation facility and program needs of the community and indicates the priorities of those needs and how they will be met. Any applications for recreation facilities will be reviewed for consistency with the master plan of parks and recreation. (Ord. 98-8 § 2 (part): prior code § 9-21.030)

9-34.040 Applicable areas.

The regulations and standards contained in this section shall apply to all properties designated as parks on the city zoning map. (Ord. 98-8 § 2 (part): prior code § 9-21.040)

9-34.050 Standards.

The standards in Table 9-34.050 shall apply to developments within the parks district.

In addition to the city’s site development, building and engineering standards and requirements, several federal and state laws and policies address parkland dedication, equipment safety and facility accessibility such as the Federal Consumer Product Safety Commission Handbook for Play Lot Safety and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
