FEEDING WILD DUCKS AND OTHER WATERFOWL PROHIBITED ON PUBLIC PROPERTIES

6.35.010 Feeding ducks and other waterfowl prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person to feed, cause to be fed, or offer food to any duck or other waterfowl, or to scatter food, seed, or other forms of matter edible to ducks or other waterfowl on any public properties (which include but are not limited to public buildings, streets, street rights-of-way, sidewalks, driveways, parks, or any other public property) or portions thereof in the city which have been posted with a sign(s) warning that it is illegal to feed the ducks or waterfowl on the posted public property. 6.35.020 Enforcement and penalties.

A.    Enforcement of this chapter shall be implemented by the city manager or his/her designee.

B.    A violation of this chapter is an infraction, which shall be subject to a fine of not more than twenty-five dollars for the first offense nor more than one hundred dollars for each subsequent offense. (Ord. 860 §3(part), 2006)

6.35.030 Signs.

Signs which designate no feeding of ducks or waterfowl in accordance with this chapter shall be clearly, sufficiently, and conspicuously posted in places covered by this chapter. (Ord. 860 §3(part), 2006)
