1.08.010 Datum plane established – Location.

The “City base” of the City is established and declared to be the datum plane as adopted by the United States Geological Survey, such plane being at an elevation 486.215 feet below the level of the top of an iron pipe three inches in diameter, 12 inches above the ground, and capped with a brass plate bearing the inscription “U.S. Geological Survey, elevation above sea 486.215 feet Datum B.M.”; such pipe being distant 39 feet southerly from the center of the main track of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and 62 feet westerly from the westerly line of Lizzie Street, all in the City.
