RETURNED CHECKS

4.20.010 Returned checks.
(1) When the District receives a check that has been returned by the bank because there are insufficient funds to cover the value of the check, the District Secretary shall collect from the writer of the check the face value of the amount stated on the returned check, plus a fee of $25.00 to cover bank charges and staff time involved in collecting the money owed to the District; and
(2) The General Manager is authorized to take all action necessary to inform the District’s customers of this policy. [Res. 97-17.]
