9.16.010    Exhibiting gambling paraphernalia in premises protected from police.

9.16.010 Exhibiting gambling paraphernalia in premises protected from police.

It is unlawful for any person within the city to exhibit or expose to view in any barred or barricaded house or room or in any other place built or protected in a manner to make it difficult of access or ingress to police officers, when three or more persons are present, any cards, dice, dominoes, fan tan table or layout, or any part of such layout, or any gambling implements whatsoever. (Prior code § 14.20).

9.16.020 Presence where gambling paraphernalia is exhibited.

It is unlawful for any person to visit or resort to any such barred or barricaded house or room or other place built or protected in a manner to make it difficult of access or ingress to police officers where any cards, dice, dominoes, fan tan table or layout, or any part of such layout, or any gambling implements whatsoever, are exhibited or exposed to view when there are three or more persons present. (Prior code § 14.21).

9.16.030 Violations—Misdemeanor.

Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed guilty of an infraction and upon conviction thereof is punishable by a fine of two hundred fifty dollars. (Ord. 1247 (part), 1999; Ord. 1160 § 20, 1993).
