14.24.010 Connection unlawful when.

Except where work is done under a maintenance electrician’s permit, it is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to make connection from a source of electrical energy or to supply electrical service to any electrical wiring, devices, appliances, apparatus or equipment for the installation of which a permit is required, unless the person, firm or corporation has obtained satisfactory evidence that the electrical wiring, devices, appliances, apparatus or equipment are in all respects in conformity with all applicable legal provisions. 14.24.020 Connection after disconnection.

It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to make connections from a source of electrical energy or to supply electrical service to any electrical wiring, devices, appliances, apparatus or equipment which has been disconnected or ordered to be disconnected by the chief electrical inspector or the use of which has been ordered by the chief electrical inspector to be discontinued until a certificate of approval has been issued by him authorizing the reconnection and use of the electrical wiring, devices, appliances, apparatus or equipment. The chief electrical inspector shall then immediately notify the serving utility in writing of the issuance of the order to discontinue use. (Ord. 1282 § 2 (part), 2003: Ord. 765 § 7 (part), 1969).
