ALL CITY PARKS—DRUG FREE ZONES

16.03.010    Drug free zones.

16.03.020    Designated city parks.

16.03.010 Drug free zones.

The city parks set forth below are declared drug free zones pursuant to California Health and Safety Code Section 11380.5, which sets forth enhanced penalties upon conviction of offences involving the possession for sale or sales of specified controlled substances which occur on the grounds of city parks. (Ord. 1243, 1999).

16.03.015 Cannabis use, including smoking, prohibited.

No person shall use, possess or consume cannabis in any form, including cannabis-related products or derivatives, while in any city park which is designated in this chapter or as may be so designated in the future. (Ord. 1404 § 4, 2018).

16.03.020 Designated city parks.

(a)    Veterans Park (formerly Napoleon Square) which lies generally between Fifth and Sixth Streets and G and H Streets in the city;

(b)    Washington Square Park which lies generally at the northeast, northwest, and southeast corners of Tenth Street and E Street in the city;

(c)    Plaza Park which lies generally between First Street and the Marysville levee, and between D Street and E Street in the city;

(d)    East Lake Park which lies generally on the west side of Yuba Street between Thirteenth Street and Seventeenth Street in the city;

(e)    Stephen J. Field Park which lies generally between Greeley Drive and Boulton Way at their intersection with Rideout Way in the city;

(f)    Gavin Park which lies generally between Val Drive and Chele Avenue on the south side of Johnson Avenue in the city;

(g)    Miner Park which lies generally between Fourteenth and Fifteenth Streets and between Swezy Street and Sampson Street in the city;

(h)    Triplett Park which lies generally on the north side of Rideout Way between Covillaud Street and Ahern Street in the city;

(i)    Ellis Lake which lies generally between Ninth Street and Sixteenth Street and between B Street and D Street in the city;

(j)    Yuba Park, which lies generally directly south of East Tenth Street, east of Yuba Street and west of Ramirez Street/Simpson Lane in the city;

(k)    Beckwourth Riverfront Park which generally lies east of the Feather River and west of the Marysville Ring Levee and lying south of the northerly city limits and lying north and west of the E Street Bridge and the Yuba River in the city;

(l)    Motor Park, which generally lies north of Fourteenth Street between G Street and H Street and ends at the north levee in the city. (Ord. 1366 § 1, 2014: Ord. 1243, 1999).
