2.36.010 State Aid for Training—Adherence to Standards.

The City Council declares that it desires the City to qualify to receive aid from the State under the provisions of California Penal Code Sections 13500 through 13553.

Pursuant to California Penal Code Sections 13510 and 13522, the City, while receiving aid from the State, will adhere to the standards for recruitment and training established by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.

Pursuant to California Penal Code Section 13512, the Commission and its representatives may make such inquiries as deemed appropriate by the Commission to ascertain that the City’s peace officer and public safety dispatch personnel adhere to the standards for selection and training established by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
