PARAMEDIC SERVICE USER FEES

5.60.010 Intent and Purpose.
The City provides funds for personnel and equipment to support the operation of paramedic field services for the benefit of the citizens residing in Newport Beach. The purpose and intent of this chapter is to enable the City Council to establish a reasonable service charge to assist in defraying a portion of the costs incurred from maintaining said paramedic services to be paid by persons who actually utilize said services. 5.60.020 Fees Established—Resolution.
The City Council shall by resolution establish reasonable fees and charges to be paid by persons using the City’s paramedic field services. Upon written application, the City Manager may waive all or part of the paramedic user fees referenced in this chapter. (Ord. 2023-22 § 331, 2023; Ord. 2015-30 § 2, 2015: Ord. 1692 § 1 (part), 1976)
