UNCLAIMED PROPERTY

2.12.010 Sale authorized.
The police department, when it comes into possession of stolen or unclaimed property, and after holding it for a period of three months, may sell such property at public auction to the highest bidder after publication in the city’s legal newspaper of notice of such sale at least five days before such sale.
