BONDS

2.16.010 Amounts designated.
(A) In accordance with Section 36518 of the Government Code, bonds shall be required of City officers and employees in penal sums as follows:
(1) City Clerk, $5,000;
(2) City Treasurer, $5,000;
(3) All other officers and employees of this City, including deputies of the City Clerk and City Treasurer, shall be covered by an honesty position bond, issued by a surety company authorized to do business in this state, for the faithful performance of the duties of their respective offices or employment, in the aggregate penal sum of $20,000 for all such employees.
(B) If any person fills two or more of the above-described offices, then only one bond shall be required for such person in an amount equal to the greatest sum required for any of such offices held. (Ord. 1366 § 3, 2008; Ord. 16 § 1, 1962)
2.16.020 Premium payment.
The premiums for such bonds shall be paid from the City’s general fund. (Ord. 16 § 2, 1962)
