10.20.010 Loading and unloading materials permitted when.

It is unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to stop said vehicle in any alley for a period of time longer than is necessary for loading and unloading of materials, provided that the loading or unloading of materials shall not consume more than twenty minutes. Stopping for the purpose of loading or unloading materials in alleys is permitted only in cases where a door or entrance of the premises to which or from which said materials are loaded or unloaded, opens directly onto the alley. 10.20.020 Loading and unloading passengers or materials—Time limit and areas designated.

It is unlawful for the operator of a vehicle to stop the vehicle for a period of time longer than is necessary for the loading of passengers or materials, provided that the loading or unloading of passengers shall not consume more than three minutes, nor the loading or unloading of materials more than twenty minutes, in any of the following places:

A.    In any loading zone;

B.    In any marked bus stop. (Ord. 116 § 8(a), 1952).

10.20.030 Determination of loading zone locations.

The city council shall determine by resolution the location of loading zones and shall mark by appropriate signs or as specifically required herein those places where standing for loading only is permitted under Sections 10.20.020 through 10.20.040, subject to the following requirements and limitations:

A.    Every loading zone; also

B.    That portion of every curb reserved for loading only by Section 10.20.020B; shall be designated by yellow paint or other yellow material upon the entire curb surface therein with the words “LOADING ONLY” in black letters thereon. (Ord. 116 § 8(b), 1952).

10.20.040 Bus stop designated—Establishing additional bus stops.

The westerly side of Salado Avenue extending fifty feet southerly from the crosswalk between Blocks 50 and 49 of the city is designated as a bus stop. Parallel parking of buses shall be permitted in the bus stop. Bus stops may be established at other locations by resolution of the city council. (Ord. 116 § 8(c), 1952).
