CITATION, AUTHORITY AND PURPOSE

16.04.010 Title.
This title is adopted to supplement and implement the Subdivision Map Act and may be cited as the “Subdivision Ordinance of the City of Patterson.” (Ord. 508 § 2 (part), 1993).
16.04.020 Authority.
Authority for this title is found in Title 7, Division 2 of the California Government Code commencing with Section 66410, hereinafter referred to as the “Subdivision Map Act.” The Subdivision Map Act is incorporated by reference into this title. The design, improvement and survey data for land divisions, the form and content of tentative parcel, parcel, tentative subdivision and final maps, and the procedures to be followed in securing official approval shall be governed by the provisions of the Subdivision Map Act and by the additional provisions of this title. (Ord. 508 § 2 (part), 1993).
16.04.030 Purpose.
The purpose of this title and any rules, regulations and specifications adopted under it is: (1) to regulate and control the division of land within the city; and (2) to supplement the State Subdivision Map Act concerning the design improvement, and survey data of subdivisions, the form and content of all required maps, and the procedure to be followed in securing the official approval of the city regarding maps. The regulations in this title are necessary to implement the city’s general plan and to preserve the public health, safety and general welfare. (Ord. 508 § 2 (part), 1993).
