9.96.010 Curfews.

Notwithstanding any other section of this title, it is unlawful for any person to remain in every public park, public park parking lots and recreation area in the city between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to sunrise, or to 6:00 a.m. of the following day, whichever shall first occur. 9.96.020 Exemptions.

A. Riverview Park. The curfew rule set forth in PMC 9.96.010 shall not apply to any person utilizing Riverview Park for the purpose of fishing.

B. Sponsored City Activities. PMC 9.96.010 shall not apply to any person in the public park and recreation area when such person is participating in going to or coming from an activity which is either sponsored or co-sponsored by the city, or carrying on such activity pursuant to a permit issued by the city. 9.96.030 Emergency closure.

The city manager, or the chief of police, or his designated representative, may cause the closure of any playlot, playground, or park during normal public use hours if the city manager or the chief of police determines that such closure will protect the public health, safety and/or welfare, or as necessary to protect parks facilities and other public-related lands from misuse or destruction. In the event of closure by the city manager or the chief of police, it is unlawful for any person to participate in any activities on any portion of any playlot, playground, or park, providing the city manager or the chief of police has caused notice of amended park hours to be posted in conspicuous locations in the affected park, playlot or playground at least six hours prior to the effective time of such change. 9.96.040 Parking of recreation vehicles, trailers, pickup campers or utility trailers in city parks for camping purposes prohibited.

No person shall park any recreation vehicle, trailer, utility trailer or pickup camper in any city park for purpose of camping. “Camping” is defined to mean the maintaining of a dwelling within the confines of the above-described vehicles between the hours of 10:00 p.m. to sunrise, or to 6:00 a.m., of the following day, whichever shall occur first.
