MECHANICAL CODE

16.32.030 Adoption of mechanical codes.
16.32.010 Title.
This chapter shall be known and cited as the Rancho Cordova mechanical code. [Ord. 24-2022 § 1].
16.32.020 Purpose.
The purpose of the Rancho Cordova mechanical code is to provide minimum system standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property, and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, operation, and maintenance or use of heating, ventilating, cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators, and other miscellaneous heat-producing appliances within this jurisdiction. 16.32.030 Adoption of mechanical codes.
The 2022 California Mechanical Code, Part 4, Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations (hereinafter referred to as the “State Code”), incorporating the Uniform Mechanical Code, 2021 Edition, published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, and any rules and regulations promulgated pursuant thereto, are hereby adopted and incorporated by reference herein. Except as otherwise provided by this chapter and Chapter 16.02 RCMC, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the city of Rancho Cordova. [Ord. 24-2022 § 1].
