2.20.010 City clerk—Salary and bond.

The appointive city clerk of the city shall be paid at such rate or method that the city council may deem appropriate. The city council may contract with qualified persons to fill the position of city clerk on such terms and conditions as the city council may deem appropriate, including contracting with independent contractors.

The city council may but shall not be required to appoint the city manager to the office of city clerk. The city council may from time to time, by resolution, establish or thereafter modify the salary or compensation of the appointed city clerk.

The city clerk of the city shall furnish to the city a bond in the penal sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00), for the performance of his or her official duties as required by law. (Ord. 09-14 § 2: Ord. 19-13 § 3: Ord. 1022 §§ 1, 2, 1996; Ord. 964 § 2, 1993)

2.20.020 City treasurer—Salary and bond.

The city treasurer of the city shall receive for his or her service as such the salary of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per month.

The city treasurer of the city shall furnish to the city a bond in the penal sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000), for the performance of his or her official duties as required by law. (Ord. 08-19 § 1: Ord. 07-02 § 2: Ord. 964 §§ 3, 4, 1993)
