10.15.010 Purpose.

Section 65089.3 of the California Government Code requires congestion management agencies to annually determine if the county and cities are conforming to the Congestion Management Program including, but not limited to, the adoption and implementation of a trip reduction and travel demand ordinance. This ordinance will amend existing Code provisions on this subject to provide that implementation of trip reduction and travel demand requirements in the city/county shall be through the administration, implementation, and enforcement by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District of Regulation 13, Rule 1 ("Trip Reduction Requirements for Large Employers"). 10.15.020 Administration, implementation, and enforcement by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.

(a) Within the City of Santa Clara, the implementation of trip reduction and travel demand requirements pursuant to Government Code Section 65089.3 shall be satisfied through the administration, implementation, and enforcement by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District of District Regulation 13, Rule 1 ("Trip Reduction Requirements for Large Employers").

(b) The City of Santa Clara shall certify annually to the Congestion Management Agency that this chapter remains in effect. (Ord. 1603 § 1, 10-31-89; Ord. 1635 § 1, 6-2-92; Ord. 1656 § 2, 5-24-94. Formerly § 17-121).
