2.36.010 Fingerprinting fees.

Fees for fingerprinting by the Sheriff-Coroner shall be as established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. [Ord. 2551, 1978; Ord. 1630, 1971; Ord. 1416, 1969; prior code § 5.13.010].

2.36.020 Crime, coroner and autopsy report fees.

Fees for autopsy reports, coroner reports and crime reports shall be as established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. [Ord. 2551, 1978; Ord. 1416, 1969; prior code § 5.13.020].

2.36.030 Photograph fees.

Fees for photographs shall be as established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. [Ord. 2551, 1978; Ord. 1416, 1969; prior code § 5.13.030].

2.36.040 Embalming fees.

Fees for embalming shall be as established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. [Ord. 2551, 1978; Ord. 2181, 1975; prior code § 5.13.040].

2.36.050 Property transfer records—Fee for compact disc.

The fee for a compact disc containing electronic copies of weekly property transfer records maintained by the County Recorder shall be as established by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. [Ord. 5279 § 6, 2018; Ord. 4795 § 1, 2005].

2.36.060 Charges for providing public records.

(A)    The reasonably necessary charge for providing a copy of a public record where the charge is not otherwise set by statute shall be determined as follows:

(1)    A per page charge for duplication based on the fee set forth in the unified fee schedule.

(2)    The actual cost of the time of employees spent in locating, retrieving, reviewing, preparing, copying, and furnishing the records. There shall be no charge for the first hour of employee time expended, and time shall be calculated by rounding to the nearest one-quarter of an hour.

(3)    If the response requires duplication to a medium other than eight-and-one-half-inch by 11-inch copy paper, the amount reasonably necessary to recover the cost of that medium and the use of any equipment required for the duplication shall be used in place of the per page cost.

(4)    All other costs incurred in providing the copy including, without limitation, storage, retrieval, mailing and shipping.

(B)    Agency and department heads, and their delegates, are authorized to waive collection of the charge for providing copies of public records if the total cost of fulfilling a request does not exceed $25.00.

(C)    This section shall not apply to fees or charges specified in Government Code Section 54985(c). [Ord. 5070 § 3, 2010; Ord. 4795 § 2, 2005].
