UNAUTHORIZED REMOVAL OF MATERIALS FROM SOLID WASTE TRANSFER, PROCESSING, OR DISPOSAL FACILITIES

7.25.010 Prohibition against removal of materials from solid waste facilities.

It shall be unlawful for any individual, corporation or person to remove from any County solid waste transfer, processing or disposal facility any materials that have been brought to such facility for transfer, processing or disposal. Members of the public, when disposing of waste materials at any County facility which transfers, processes or disposes of such waste materials, do not have any right to remove any of the materials that have been deposited with the County at such facilities. 7.25.020 Violation—Penalty.

Any person violating the provisions of this chapter is guilty of an infraction and upon conviction shall be punishable by a fine as provided in SCCC 1.12.040. For this purpose, a bail forfeiture shall be deemed a conviction of the offense charged. [Ord. 4087 § 1, 1990].

7.25.030 Exemptions.

Any individual, corporation or person is exempt from the provisions of this chapter if the Director of Public Works determines that removal and salvage of specified materials is beneficial to the County and its transfer, processing and waste disposal operations. [Ord. 4087 § 1, 1990].
