WATER CONSERVING LANDSCAPING

8.52.010 Compliance.

All landscaping proposed for review and/or approval by any City official or board shall comply with the provisions of Water Conservation Ordinance 326 adopted by the Marin Municipal Water District, or any successor to that ordinance as it may apply to the installation and maintenance and watering of commercial or residential landscaping. No building permit or other ministerial permit shall be issued by the City for any project that involves the installation or modification of any commercial or residential landscaping unless either the project applicant has provided the City with written confirmation from the Marin Municipal Water District that the project is in compliance with the ordinance or the Planning Director has determined that the proposed installation or modification of the landscaping is exempt from the provisions of the ordinance. 8.52.020 Environmental assessment.

This chapter is adopted in order to assure the maintenance, restoration or enhancement of a natural resource and is therefore exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to Section 15307 of the State CEQA Guidelines. [Ord. 1084 § 2, 1992.]
