2.25.010 Authority of manager.

The airport manager, whether an officer or employee of the city of South Lake Tahoe or a private contractor, shall at all times have authority to take such reasonable actions as may be necessary or desirable to enforce the provisions of this chapter. (Ord. 1085 § 1 (Exh. A))

2.25.020 Penalty for violations.

Any violation of this chapter, or of an adopted rule or regulation, shall be a violation of this chapter.

All persons utilizing the airport, whether for aircraft transport or otherwise, shall comply with all rules and regulations set forth by separate policies, procedures and resolutions including but not limited to those adopted by the city, the state, the federal government, or any other agency with jurisdiction over the airport. 2.25.030 Contract, lease or permit required to conduct business.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to conduct any business on any airport property without having first obtained a written contract, lease or permit from the city. (Ord. 1085 § 1 (Exh. A))

2.25.040 Unauthorized use of runway.

It is unlawful for any person or vehicle to enter upon any runway or runway enclosure, except in an aircraft, without the express consent of the airport manager. (Ord. 1085 § 1 (Exh. A))

2.25.050 Airport closure.

The airport manager is authorized to close the airport, without notice, to the landing, taking off and taxiing of aircraft during any period in which he or she determines it would be hazardous to so operate an aircraft on the airport because of adverse weather conditions, runway repairs or maintenance, runway obstacles, aircraft accidents or fires. Any such closure shall be effective only during such time as there is placed at each end of the runway of the airport so closed an X, the arms of which are at least 10 feet long and one foot wide and are colored in contrast to the background area. This section shall not be applicable during snow emergency conditions. (Ord. 1085 § 1 (Exh. A))

2.25.060 Parking.

It is unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any vehicle, except maintenance authorized emergency vehicles responding to any emergency, upon any portion of the airport except in areas designated by signs and ground markings as motor vehicle parking areas. All parking of vehicles on or at the airport shall comply with posted restrictions on parking. (Ord. 1085 § 1 (Exh. A))
