CHAPTER 7. REWARDS FOR INFORMATION CONCERNING DESTRUCTION OF OR DAMAGE TO COUNTY PROPERTY

2-07-1000 REWARD:

Pursuant to section 26207 of the Government Code of the State of California, a reward of Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250) will be paid from County funds to any person furnishing information leading to the apprehension and conviction of any person who has willfully destroyed or damaged any property owned by the County of Tulare, including, but not limited to, buildings, equipment, roads, and official traffic control devices as defined in section 440 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California. The total reward that will be paid for information concerning any one offense, or series of offenses by the same person or persons, is Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250). If two (2) or more persons furnish information adequate to qualify for a reward concerning the same offense or the same series of offenses, the first person furnishing such information shall be entitled to the entire reward.

2-07-1005 SAME: CLAIMS:

Any person claiming a reward under this Chapter shall file a claim therefore with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, and the claim shall be accompanied by a certification by the District Attorney as to whether the claimant is entitled to the reward provided by this Chapter.

2-07-1010 SAME: DISPUTES:

In case of dispute, the Board of Supervisors shall be the sole judge of the person, if any, who is entitled to receive a reward under the provisions of this Chapter.
