§2600 HEALTH DEPARTMENT APPROVAL REQUIRED

No person shall carry on any type of restaurant business in the City unless and until such restaurant has been inspected by the Health Department of the City for compliance with health and sanitation standards, rules and regulations applicable to restaurants, and a certificate indicating such compliance is issued by the Health Department. §2601 CERTIFICATE APPROVING RESTAURANT REQUIRED YEARLY

Only one such Health Department certificate for each restaurant is required for each calendar year beginning January 1, excepting that where there is a transfer of ownership of a restaurant business, a new inspection and certificate is required. §2602 BUSINESS LICENSE NOT TO BE ISSUED UNLESS CERTIFICATE FILED WITH DIRECTOR OF FINANCE

No person shall be licensed under the provisions of Chapter 1 of Division 2 of this Code to carry on any type of restaurant business unless there shall have been filed with the Director of Finance a certificate of the Health Department of the City approving the issuance of such license. §2603 PENALTY FOR VIOLATION

Any person violating any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punishable as provided in this Code. (Ord. 544, §5, adopted 1961; amd. by Ord. 896, §2, adopted 1989)
