14.02.040.010 Officers, Managers, and Entities.

The titles, positions, and organizations defined in this chapter are used throughout this title and shall be used in the context of these definitions unless specifically stated otherwise. Other officers, managers, and entities are defined in Title 2.

14.02.040.020 Definitions of Officers, Managers and Entities.

A. “Building Official” refers to the Building Official of the City of Vacaville or a person designated by the Building Official is authorized to conduct the Building Official’s duties.

B. “City” refers to the City of Vacaville, Solano County, California.

C. “City Attorney” refers to the City Attorney of the City of Vacaville or designee.

D. “City Council” and “Council” refer to the City Council of the City of Vacaville.

E. “City Clerk” refers to the City Clerk of the City of Vacaville elected by the voters.

F. “City Engineer” refers to the City Engineer of the City of Vacaville or a person designated by the City Engineer to conduct the City Engineer’s duties.

G. “City Manager” refers to the City Manager of the City of Vacaville or designee.

H. “Chief of Police” refers to the Chief of Police of the City of Vacaville or designee.

I. “Decision maker” refers to the person or body with the authority to approve a project in the City of Vacaville, as authorized in Division 14.01, Administration.

J. “Director of Community Development” refers to the Director of Community Development of the City of Vacaville (including an interim director) or a person designated by the Director of Community Development to conduct the Director’s duties.

K. “Director of Public Works” refers to the Director of Public Works of the City of Vacaville (including an interim director) or a person designated by the Director of Public Works to conduct the Director of Public Works’ duties.

L. “Fire Chief” refers the Fire Chief of the City of Vacaville (including an interim fire chief) or a person designated by the Fire Chief to conduct the Fire Chief’s duties.

M. “Planning Commission” and “Commission” refer to the Planning Commission of the City of Vacaville.

N. “Public agency” is any entity under the direction of elected officials, or a board appointed by elected officials.
