14-04.010 General.

The several districts hereby established, and into which the City is or may be divided, are designated as follows:

14-04.020 Annexation of territory.

All territory hereafter annexed to the City shall be classified as a part of that zoning district of the City recommended by the Commission and specified by the Council at the time of the annexation thereof. Such zoning districts shall be in accordance with the General Plan.

(a)    If no such recommendation and specification is made, annexed territory shall be classified in the EM-A-1 Exclusive Agricultural District upon annexation.

(b)    The Council may prezone unincorporated territory contiguous to the City to establish the district classification that will apply to such territory in the event such territory hereafter is annexed to the City. Such prezoning of territory shall become effective at the time the annexation of any such prezoned unincorporated territory becomes effective.
