The owner, possessor or keeper of any dog or cat within this Town shall purchase a license for such dog or cat from the Police Department on or before March 1 of each year or within thirty (30) days after the animal reaches the age of six (6) months. Dogs and cats purchased, obtained or otherwise acquired or located in Town subsequent to the first day of March in any calendar year shall be licensed within thirty (30) days after such acquisition or location.
