7-6-2:    Uniform Code For The Abatement Of Dangerous Buildings Amendments

7-6-1 UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS:

A.    Code Adopted: All rules, regulations and ordinances of a general and permanent character relating to and applying to the abatement of dangerous buildings, said rules, regulations and ordinances being printed and contained in a book in code form designated and entitled the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 Edition, printed and published under the authority of the International Code Council, be and the same hereby is ratified and adopted in its entirety as the code for the abatement of dangerous buildings for the city.

B.    Code On File: A copy of the 1997 Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings shall be retained by the city and shall be filed in the office of the city clerk in accordance with Idaho Code section 50-901 for use and examination by the public. (Ord. 973-14, 12-8-2014)

7-6-2 UNIFORM CODE FOR THE ABATEMENT OF DANGEROUS BUILDINGS AMENDMENTS:

The Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, 1997 Edition, is adopted with the following amendments:

A.    Section 103, Alterations, Additions And Repairs

All buildings or structures which are required to be repaired under the provisions of this code shall be subject to the provisions of applicable local, state and federal laws.

B.    Section 201.1, Administration

The City is hereby authorized to enforce the provisions of this code.

Authorized Agents as defined by this Title shall have the power to render interpretations of this code and to adopt and enforce rules and supplemental regulations in order to clarify the application of its provisions. Such interpretations, rules and regulations shall be in conformity with the intent and purpose of this code.

C.    Section 204, Inspection Of Work

All buildings or structures within the scope of this code and all construction or work for which a permit is required shall be subject to the inspection by the building official in accordance with and in the manner provided by this Chapter and this Title.

D.    Section 205, Board Of Appeals

The Board of Appeals shall be established as described in Garden City Code § 7-1-11.
