17-08-010 Scope.
A. Territorial Application. This title applies to regulates and determines rights, obligations and remedies under a rental agreement, wherever made, for a dwelling unit located within the city.
B. Exclusions. The following arrangements are not governed herein:
1. Residence at a public or private medical, geriatric, educational, religious, nursing or retirement institution;
2. Occupancy under a contract of sale of a dwelling unit if the occupant is the purchaser;
3. Residence in a residential care home as provided for and approved by the city;
4. Transient occupancy in a hotel or motel licensed by the city. (Ord. 3122 § 1 (part), 2004)
