12.16.010 Obstruction to vision at intersections prohibited.

No owner, occupant, or tenant of any real estate abutting any street or highway intersection, alley, street intersection, and intersections of public, business, and service driveways with streets or highways shall permit any trees, plants, shrubbery, signs, parked vehicles, or any other objects which obstruct or tend to obstruct the view of any operator of a vehicle or of a pedestrian approaching the intersection to grow to a height in excess of three feet from the grade of the street or highway at the intersection, and within twenty-five (25) feet of the curb or right-of-way at the intersection.

12.16.020 Notice of noncompliance.

Any owner or occupant of any property abutting any street or highway intersection, alley or street intersection, and intersections of public, business, and service driveways with streets or highways who shall fail to comply with this chapter, shall be given notice of noncompliance by the county sheriff’s department by leaving a copy of this notice with any occupant or owner of the real estate or by posting the notice on the real estate.

12.16.030 Failure to comply.

Failure by any owner or occupant to comply with the notice within five days after receiving it shall constitute a violation of this chapter.

12.16.040 Violation -- penalty.

Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined not more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00), and costs. Every day any violation shall occur shall constitute a separate offense.
