SPEED REGULATIONS AND TURNING MOVEMENTS

10.15.010 Speed limits established.
A. Speed limits within the town limits shall be as posted.
B. The following speed limits are hereby adopted for the town:
1. The speed limit on Indigo Blue Boulevard shall be 20 miles per hour;
2. The speed limit on County Road 400 South between County Road 575 East and County Road 650 East shall be 30 miles per hour;
3. The speed limit on County Road 575 East between County Road 300 South and County Road 400 South shall be 30 miles per hour;
4. The speed limit on County Road 650 East between County Road 400 South and County Road 500 South shall be 30 miles per hour;
5. The maximum speed limit for all portions of Whitestown Parkway within the town of Whitestown is 40 miles per hour;
6. The maximum speed limit for Main Street in the immediate vicinity of Boone Meadow Elementary School is 25 miles per hour when children are present. The speed zone shall be properly signed as provided by law.

10.15.020 Violation of speed limits in congested area.
It shall be a violation of the Town Code to exceed any specially posted speed limit in a congested area of the town. [Ord. 2012-18 § 1(b). Prior code Title 7, Ch. 2, Art. 3, § 101]
10.15.030 Speeding in a school zone.
No person shall exceed the posted speed limit in a school zone. [Ord. 2012-18 § 1. Prior code Title 7, Ch. 2, Art. 3, § 102]
10.15.040 Turning movements.
A. Improper Left Turn.
1. All vehicles when making a left turn in an intersection shall leave the intersection from right of the center line of the road or street being entered.
2. All vehicles when making a left turn shall make the turn from the portion of the right half of the road nearest the center line.
B. Improper Right Turn. All vehicles when making a right turn shall make the turn from as close as is practical to the right edge of the road.
C. Improper U-Turn. No vehicle shall make a U-turn where an official traffic-control device or sign indicates U-turns shall not be made. [Ord. 2012-18 § 1(c). Prior code Title 7, Ch. 2, Art. 4, §§ 101 – 104]
10.15.050 Board authority.
The board shall determine those intersections at which drivers of vehicles shall not make certain turns, and shall have proper signs placed at such intersections.
